Swapping and Changing is Not Suiting Pandora . .

Pandora Jewellery is everywhere...

I think possibly everyone I know has at least one Pandora bracelet, that is why I was shocked to learn that shares in Pandora have dropped drastically, costing the company $142m!

This drop in sales is being put down to the jewelers choice to allow retailers exchange unsold stock for better selling items. This shift in operations is part of a larger plan the company are currently implementing and despite this dip in the share price the company still seem committed to their plan. The company gave us an insight into their aims when they stated recently that "Our goal is to accelerate like-for-like sales growth by improving the quality of the stock mix at our key retail partners"

An interesting approach taken here by Pandora although I wonder how stead fast they will be if share price continues to be effected.

However, I am aware of other retailers who do successfully run a similar style operation to that of which Pandora is aiming to achieve. This may give hope to Pandora and to all of us out there who love their jewellery!

  2. once everyone bought the expensive bit which is the bracelet itself then the amount they were spending dropped seeing as they were only buying charms every now and then, they need to launch nice new bracelets that everyone just has to have...your welcome sinead :)

  4. Wow, I would have thought they would be doing unreal! Even I see these yolks everywhere. Even guys have to know about them now if they don't want to be considered a terrible boyfriend haha.
You'd hope they know their plan though and it was well researched. Maybe they know it's short term loss for long term growth? We'll see i guess.

  5. I think Dara's right about the idea of bringing out a new bracelet. I think they need to maybe start advertising their leather bracelet range? or else their rope one - I got a present of one of those for my 21st and it is by far my favourite bracelet (well was until i left it in the library one day - grrrr!!) Still shocked that they arent doing as well - id say at this stage 1 out of every 2 girls in college has one!

  6. That's weird that they aren't doing well because, like you said, every girl seems to have a pandora these days!!

They actually do already have a few different types of bracelets but they're just not really advertised well enough! They also have some gorgeous watches at the moment but you just wouldn't even realise that they're there unless you happened to go in and browse around!
